slap on bracelets unleashed!

Like a week ago we went to a totally rad 80's birthday bash! I made David turn the car around so I could get my camera yet I still didn't snag a picture. Thanks to Kara and her 3rd kid...I mean camera I stole this picture! We had a great time, Grant insisted that we didn't spend any money on his outfit. Can't argue with that eh? P.S. all of our clothes were 50% off the thrift store price making for a sweet steal of a deal! Hate me if you want, I know you are diggin' the denim overalls.

more pics from coloRADo

My sister in-law snapped these while we were in Craig and I pretty much stole them off of fb. Grant looks concerned as always!

3 months!

Grant is growing up waaaayyy too fast. I love and hate it at the same time. He is at a fun age now though, he gives me smiles all day which makes the huge blow-outs all over me totally worth it! We were playing peek-a-boo which quickly turned into "Grant has to poo"-he's lucky he's cute!

Some things about this little boy:
-he is an AMAZING sleeper, and loves to just lay there in his quiet dark room. I'm dreading the day this ends which I'm sure will be soon now that I've mentioned it.
-he is getting better at taking naps, and loves to fall asleep in his swing.
-his new sailboat mobile makes him smile a lot
-LOVES taking a bath
-discovered his tongue and boy is it looong
-still loves to go on walks
-actually enjoys getting his diaper changed, I think he just likes that he can sit back and smile/coo while we do all the work!

Someone is excited to be 3 months old!

Getting over the excitement.....

Wait..wait.. he's still excited!

Just hanging out watching TV...after our reading, writing, and arithmetic of course. I am a good mom, I am a good mom, I am a good mom.

Blessing in Colorado

Picture overload part I. I really wish we would have taken more family pictures but I think all of us were a little tuckered out by this point! I look kind of 80's in this one with the head tilt and my hair off my shoulder...hum maybe I'm closer to becoming DJ Tanner than I think!

4 generation...

What is with his head? I swear he's either crying in a picture or looking as if his head is going to roll right off. Poor kid.

rockin' the MC Hammer pants

Thanks again to everyone who traveled from UT, AZ and various parts of CO to be with us! We love you!

home again home again

A week or so ago we made the looong trek back to colorful Colorado to visit family, friends and to bless Grant. comin' out our ears!

On Thursday we made the 3rd annual trip to pick strawberries. It was a little tricky with Grant but we still managed to pick more than our fair share. With fresh berries you have to use them in like a day or they get made that you picked them and get all nasty. We put Grant down for bed and got busy cookin' up a storm. We made strawberry jam, strawberry bread, strawberry pie, more jam, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry salad....I feel like Bubba on Forest Gump talking about all the different kinds of shrimp but really we had loads of strawberries! I'm already looking forward to next year!

lazy boy

We decided to take advantage of the cooler weather (and David's day off) and go hiking. It was so nice to get out and explore around. I was afraid Grant was going to get hungry/fussy along the way but about 5 minutes into it he fell asleep.Anytime we would stop to take a picture or look at frogs in the water or whatever he would wake up so we just kept walking and walking and walking.

He was such a trooper, when he was awake he would just stare at all the trees and was so happy to be outside. He was in heaven...being outside and being held. What more could a kid ask for?
