Better late than never

Ok first of all HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! I'm kind of bummed because it doesn't feel like halloween...maybe because there isn't any snow on the ground. I grew up in freezing cold weather where every year I had to design a costume around a snowsuit. Ha. Well a few weeks ago we went over to the Lewis's and carved pumpkins. As I you know (because I've been complaining about it) my computer is not liking me too much these days so I haven't been able to post these pictures of our marvelous pumpkins. We had such a great time...oh and if you haven't heard Angie had her baby! Just goes to show how slow I am in the blog world! This was my first time (I'm just as shocked as you) that I've actually carved a pumpkin...we would do it at church activities but I always seemed to just draw a face or write my name or something lame like that. Anyway I did a very basic cat design, well to be honest because I really like cats and I just wasn't feeling very pumped up to challenge myself. David went above and beyond with the pumpkin head man....way to go Dave! I think they all turned out pretty well, oh yeah we also had some yummy pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to complete the night. Not too shabby.

Dave, you did an amazing job. You should see the worthless pumpkin that Clay carved up. You put him to shame. You deserve this victory. Enjoy it.

I'm glad you finally got to LIVE a little bit and carve a pumpkin. Something that everyone must experience. Impressive pumpkins!

Paul, do I strike you as someone that messes around when it comes to carving pumpkins? Clay is no competition - in pumpkin carving or anything else.

Just kidding Clay - you're pretty good competition at flower arranging. (I can never get the color assortment as vibrant as he does).
