Peanut lovers

I had an appt on Tuesday and my doctor said I was measuring small (obviously he's not measuring my waistline!) but he didn't seem too concerned because I've been measuring small since like week 18. Anyway yesterday he called me and said I needed to get an ultrasound this week just to check the fluid levels and make sure things were looking/cooking good. Do you think I slept well last night? Nada. We went in today and I'm happy to report that things are healthy and our little boy (the tech confirmed it again!) is growing. My nurse said I'm small because he's small, he's only in the 47%...what a peanut! Oh well easier to push out right? We just feel so blessed to be able to be pregnant at this time and can't wait to meet him. I have been in nesting mode for the last little while....I think I've always been a "nester" but it's really kicking in right now. I love it!

Just some other pregnancy things: I definitely have the "door bell" belly button going on, I've perfected the waddle, crying at every movie/commerical etc. is a daily thing and hearing people comment on how I'm about to pop is something I've just become used to! Today I was walking around outside and a black lady with gold teeth (not that that matters) came up to me

BL: "When you have you baby?"
Me: "oh about 5 weeks..."
BL: "oooo....hu-uh...girl you gonna have that baby this week...tee-hee"

then her and her friend discussed the "hugeness" of my belly...what a self-esteem boost right?

Like I said I'm hearing that a lot these days....

Hey, be grateful he's a peanut...mine wasn't and I would've loved a peanut (not that I didn't love him just the way he was). Good luck! The last few weeks are always the hardest part, but before you know it he'll be here! :)

As long as people aren't saying that 5 weeks after you've had the baby you'll be in good shape!!

oh people are so funny/rude/ignorant when it comes to pregnant women aren't they? Good luck Jodee! These last weeks are the toughest, but there's a huge light at the end of the tunnel now!!!

Yay, I am so excited your that close.. It never ceases to amaze me how different people are to pregnant ladies than anyone else. I never liked how people always thought it was okay to touch your belly.. I had one lady walk up to me around Thanksgiving(reminder.. I was not due until April) and grab my belly and say oh my goodness what do you have in there!?! I was of course not in the greatest mood and I said " A turkey!" and she said oh it looks more like an elephant.. I sweetly smiled and said "thanks" and walked off... haha but I hope you and Dave are doing wonderful.. We on the west side really miss you!

Exciting that you are in the last stretch! I can't wait to see this "little peanut" I'm sure he'll be just darling. Only in Milwaukee would you get such a classy comment. Loved it.

What is it with people's lack of tact when you're pregnant? You look awesome...so super cute! Peanuts are good...easy delivery and easy to carry around when they get here. We like them at our house.

I love that included the BL's comments word for word. It made me laugh so hard.

Don't you just love people being so honest with you? I got that ALL the time too and by the time I was 39 weeks I almost punched a guy at Walmart! Haha. Good luck with these last few weeks, you look GREAT!

I love your black lady impression. You are so funny! Glad you don't have a super-sized baby in there, and I'm especially glad that everything check out a-ok!
