Winter Wonderland
When I woke up there was actual snow on the ground....and a good amount of it too. Usually I dread this day but today I am in such a wonderful mood!!! I am so excited for Christmas this year and I love that it will be white (and sadly a very long and gray winter too) but I just trying to enjoy it for today. I love when I'm inside my house listening to Christmas music, eating oatmeal and it's all white outside. Today is going to be a good day! Well maybe not, I do actually have to leave the house and face the grocery store....yucky carts in the brown snow. Think positive thoughts Jod.

Jack Frost is living on my nose
Since the high was like 34 today we decided to welcome in the winter by going to the Milwaukee Tree Lighting Festival. FA-REEZING!!! It took us forever to find a parking spot and we barely made it to watch the big tree light up. It was fun to hear kids singing and see everyone in the Christmas mood. David and I stood in line for some free hot cocoa and this girl kept trying to cut in front of me. I don't like cutters so I firmly kept my spot in front of her. As the line kept moving forward we realized that it was a line for Santa...not the hot chocolate. That was a waste of like 5 minutes, I'm sure the girl behind me didn't mind us stepping out. After the shot of hot chocolate we called it a night and headed out for some dinner. I'm getting so excited for the Christmas spirit, I said Christmas not snow, wind and lack of sunshine.

sweet dreams....literally
Last night was our "evening of excellence" for YW. I was in charge of the refreshments and decided to make chocolate covered pretzels. I spent some time on them but I guess I didn't realize HOW much time until I woke up this morning and realized I had dreamed all night about chocolate and pretzels. Weird. I'm sure that can explain the drool on the pillow;)

daylight savings time!
I have always loved the fall daylight savings time for the obvious reasons but the last 3-4 years I have REALLY loved it. See a few years ago I got this wonderful running watch and I some how can't figure out how to change the time so for six months of the year it is correct and let's just say this will be a nice six months!
