Childhood is calling

My mom used to make these cupcake cones for us when we were little and this past Saturday one of my primary kids was getting baptized so I decided to whip up a batch. Hey I loved em' when I was 8 and have times really changed that much??? David was afraid they would be too messy (ba humbug)and I was afraid I made too many. Anyway they were a hit and the kids stayed clean! I had a little run-in with the food coloring and it won...a little on the bright side but at 10:30 pm whatcha gonna do?

those are so cute! You're so good at baking and decortaing! How did you make these? do you bake the cupcakes in the actual cone or do you put them in afterwards?

I have the same question as emily. do you bake them in the cone? I may have to duplicate the idea for my primary class!

I bake the cupcake in the cone...I usually fill until the fat part of the cone, so about half way up.

Jodee, I was going to say how wonderful and brilliant your cupcakes are but it looks like 8 other people got to it before me. They are awesome! I think that I'll try to make them for Chase's Birthday next month.

The cupcakes are so cute! There is a Coldstone in West Allis. You get off at National Ave, turn left on 108th street and it's like 2 blocks down on the right. It's never busy either.
